This year's competition features strong contenders across both Single School and High School Club divisions, with recent play-in results seeing Thunder Rugby secure a spot after defeating Belmont Shore, joining defending national club champions San Diego Mustangs, while Carmichael and Missoula earned coveted wild card berths, the latter following a solid win over Kahuku and Carmichael's impressive 4-0 run in the NorCal D1 Gold league.
